ア・リーグは打撃三冠王に輝いたタイガースのMiguel Cabreraが受賞。守備、走塁まで考慮してエンゼルスのMike Troutを押す声も大きかったのですが、蓋を開けてみれば大差。シーズン終盤の活躍、地区優勝、そして最後まで出場し続けて獲得した三冠王。個人的には当然Cabreraだと思っていましたので納得。
